Beautifully completing this sublime piece, the exquisite pearl, which was once reserved exclusively for royalty and has been favoured by brides for centuries. ÿ ÿ This elegant 9ct gold piece, set with white topaz, contains rare Welsh gold, as used to create wedding rings for some members of the British Royal Family since 1923.ÿ ÿ The wonderful tradition of royalty using Welsh gold is over 100 years old, a tradition which started when Prince Edward was invested as The Prince of Wales in 1911. His coronation regalia, known collectively as The Honours of the Principality of Wales, were fashioned from Welsh gold.
