Stainless steel case and adjustable link bracelet with fold over Z clasp. Teal blue dial with alternating Arabic numbers and batons. Lumibrite hands and date at 3 O' Clock position with magnifier. Rotating compass bezel.
From the Alpinist collection, first launched in 1959, these watches were designed for Japanese 'Yama-otoko' mountain men, to be reliable in treacherous terrain.
Automatic self winding movement with manual wind option. The watch has a power reserve of 72 hours - an impressive 3 days.
Under the sapphire crystal glass, the archive-inspired teal blue dial is complemented by 'cathedral style' hour and minute hands, accompanied by classic Arabic numerals and wedge-shaped indices. It features the traditional Alpinist logo under the Seiko logo, which featured on the very first 1950s Laurel Alpinist. The 'Mountain Device' logo features on the caseback of these watches, an aspect of the vintage original indicating the field nature of the watch. The case has an applied super-hard coating for increased scratch resistance and shine.
Through the exhibition case back, the in-house automatic 6R55 calibre can be viewed, accurate to -15/+25 seconds per day, with a power reserve of 72 hours.

Delivery Information
Our orders are dispatched using Royal Mail and Parcelforce. We aim to dispatch all orders received by 2pm the same day. Should we experience an unexpected delay we will contact you regarding the delivery.
We use Royal Mail 2nd class, Royal Mail 2nd class Signed for (Recorded Delivery), Royal Mail Special Delivery and Parcelforce 48Express. The nature of the item, its weight, its size and its value determine which service is used.
All items will be delivered to the address provided. It is the purchasers responsibility to ensure the address is both accurate and correct.
A signature may be required on delivery.
If there is nobody at home to accept delivery of your parcel when it is delivered, you should receive a ‘missed delivery’ postcard through your letterbox. Please follow the instructions carefully as this will explain where to go to collect your parcel and the necessary documentation to take with you (usually the postcard and proof of your identification).
Uncollected parcels will be returned to us (the sender) as undelivered after 18 days.
What happens if my delivery does not arrive?
Very occasionally deliveries go wrong. If your order does not arrive please contact us preferably by phone 01244 325834 or alternatively by email sales@rigbyjewellers.co.uk and we will try our best to resolve the situation.
Damaged Deliveries.
Rigby Jewellers make every effort to ensure each order leaves us in perfect condition. Should your parcel arrive damaged, when signing for the delivery please sign the receipt as damaged and retain all the packaging. Please contact us preferably by telephone on 01244 325834 or by email sales@rigbyjewellers.co.uk immediately so that we can rectify the situation for you as soon as possible.

Returns Information
We offer a 14 day returns policy.Customers have up to 14 days after the goods dispatch date in which to return items for a refund.
Essentially, all items must be returned in a new and unused condition with all labels and tags attached complete with any accessories or manuals along with the original packaging intact so that the item is in a completely re-sellable condition.You must also include a copy of the original invoice along with the reason for the refund.
Any goods returned with original packaging damaged, or in any way inferior, will not qualify for a refund.
